[5:40]: the scholars explain about good deed. one of the good deed is saving a soul: for instance, saving a dog. A story about a prostitute that give some water to a dog. The lady then save the dog and get a great reward.

[7:28] — The Hadith is Presented (Arabic Text Displayed)

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:

“Every action of the son of Adam is multiplied: a good deed is rewarded tenfold up to seven hundred times. Allah says: ‘Except for fasting. It is for Me, and I shall reward it. He leaves off his desires and his food for My sake.’”

[7:29] — Start of Explanation

General Principle of Rewards in Islam

Most deeds are rewarded 10 to 700 times.

This multiplication depends on:

Sincerity (Ikhlāṣ),

Strength of faith,

The effort involved, and

Public benefit of the action.

Examples mentioned:

Feeding the hungry,

Seeking knowledge, and

The story of the man who gave water to a thirsty dog.

[7:30–7:32] — Why Fasting Is Different

The Uniqueness of Fasting

Fasting is hidden worship — no one knows except Allah.

The reward is not fixed — Allah says: “It is for Me, and I will personally reward it.”

It involves leaving halal desires like food, drink, and intimacy purely for Allah.

[7:54] -The time in which a good deed is performed can significantly multiply its reward. Blessed times hold greater virtue for performing good deeds.

Examples of such virtuous times include the month of Ramadan, especially the last ten nights. The first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah are also highlighted as days when righteous deeds are most beloved to Allah. It also notes that giving a single Dirham at a time of great need (like giving water to someone dying of thirst) can be worth vastly more (like 100,000 Dirhams) given at other times

[10:46] -Performing good deeds in virtuous places leads to multiplied rewards.

Mecca Al-Mukarramah is explicitly mentioned as a place where good deeds are multiplied due to the virtue of the location. The act of sending a sacrifice to Mecca with Abu Bakr in the 9th year of Hijrah, even when the Prophet (PBUH) did not perform Hajj that year, is mentioned in the context of the virtue of giving charity in Mecca.

From Group 2:

1. minute 4:39 - The stronger a person's faith, sincerity, and obedience in following Rasulullah SAW, the greater their reward will be multiplied

2. minute 7:44 - the multiplication of good deeds, it could be because of excellence of time like good deeds during Ramadhan especially in the last 10 days and the first 10 days of Zulhijjah

3. minute 5:23 - Some of the deeds may involve saving and rescuing a soul like gave water to the dog and save him from death, and Allah gave her a great reward.

4. minute 10:42 - As for the multiplication of the reward,it because of the excellent of the place like doing good deeds at mekah al mukarromah

5. 13:45 - a woman who does a good can have her reward doubled, as it is easy for Allah to do so. excellent charactered women are held in a different pedestal

6. 16:02 - the rewards that will be given to us, according to Prophet Muhammad, is nothing like what the eyes have ever seen, no ears have heard and no mind has ever wondered

7. 11:30 – Performing good deeds in sacred places like Masjid al-Haram in Mecca results in multiplied rewards due to the sanctity of the location.

8. 14:50 – Fasting sincerely for Allah brings immense rewards, as Allah Himself has promised to reward it beyond measure.

9. 16:52 - perfect this two things ( what break his fast and the forbidden thing that will bring down the reward ) , the fasting will be completed and perfected

10. 19:50 - the fasting person has two time when he turns happy; happiness when he break the fast and the happiness when he meet the Lord

From Group 3:

2:23 - Allah SWT clarify that one good deed multiple by 10 times

2.58 - The one who comes with a good deed, he will receive 10 times liked and the one who brings the evil deed will not be rewarded except 1 for him

7:23 - The multiplication of the good deeds in rewards with Allah, it could be because of the excellence of the time, or the excellence of the place, or the excellence of the actions itself, or the excellence of the duer actions

7:43 - As for the multiplication rewards because of the excellence of time, it like the obedience the month of ramadan is especially in the last 10 of ramadan and the deeds that are done in the first 10 of the month zulhijjah.

4.00 - It makes the person very happy with the excellence of Allah his bounty and grace. he make the opposition and mistake just one and only evil deed. As for the good deeds, then it is increased.

5.00 - the rule regarding the multiplication of the good deeds is how strong the faith of the door is, how sincere he is, how much he following the messengers SAW in what his doing.

3:14: “This is from the mercy of Allah SWT that the sin is not multiplied while the good deeds are.” Allah’s mercy is evident in that He multiplies good deeds, but He does not multiply bad deeds. The punishment for a sin is counted as only one, even if it is a great one, whereas good deeds are rewarded many times over. This highlights Allah’s mercy and generosity towards His servants.

6:30: “The multiplication of good deeds also depends on the nature of the deed and how much effort is put into it.”. Good deeds can be multiplied based on the effort, sincerity, and intention behind the action. A simple act can carry heavy weight if done with full devotion and sincerity(ikhlas). This encourages us believers to be mindful not only of what they do, but how and why they do it.

From Group 5:

1:20 - how honoured individuals who fast by Allah’s side is to the point their bad breath is considered sweeter to Allah than scent of musk

3:36 - Those who do good deeds, their deeds will be multiplied by and counted in the 10s and bad deeds are only counted as one bad deed.

5:35 - One of the stories of good deeds counting more and considered more heftier than their bad deeds is the story of the prostitute who gave water to a dog that saved its life, and Allah gave her (the prostitute) great reward.

7:20 - The multiplication of the good deeds in reward with Allah is because of the excellence of the time, the  excellence of place, excellence of the action or the one who did it

10:05 - A small good deed, like giving water to someone dying of thirst, can be more valuable than giving millions to someone who is already fine. Just like how good deeds in Makkah are more rewarded because of the excellence of the place.

12:30 - Prophet Muhammad said good deeds in Makkah like fasting, prayer, Hajj, and charity bring great rewards; a sincere Hajj returns a person pure like the day they were born, and doing good deeds there increases the chance of entering Paradise.

14:00 - fasting, enough for you to know that by fasting you will get a reward and the reward is big and it is something that we would  never imagine.

16:00 - as for the complete fasting, a person need to leave two matter thing. firstly, things that would breaks his fast and second, forbidden things that will bring down the reward. so if the one who perfect the two matters, then he would have perfected his completed fasting.

18:58 - If someone insults, provokes, or argues with a fasting person. The Prophet told us to reply with "I am fasting."..The purpose is to remind oneself and others of the sacredness of fasting and to avoid escalating conflict.

19:28 - The wisdom of fasting, fasting is like a shield. This means it protects you. When you fast, you learn to stay away from bad things, keeps you safe from Allah’s punishment and brings you closer to Him.

Week 1

On the first week of Usrah , the Naqibah introduced the course outline for the Usrah , including what we have to do to pass the course.  It was the first meeting, so the Usrah was just about the course itself, nothing much, but at least it is a good start!  It was during the Ramadhan period, and right before Eid Holiday. Most of us were already home, so the Usrah was held online.  The best thing about this Usrah was that the instructor included Isha' prayer time for about 10-15 minutes. It was very reasonable as we have to be in the Usrah for 2 hours from 8 to 10pm. Imagine being home late, and super tired, straight to the bed... we might have missed the prayer! May Allah bless our Naqibah always for being so thoughtful.  The Naqibah also stated that adding the prayer time is aligned with the course as we would focus on the ibadah , and yup, for sure, the most important ibadah would be prayers, as it is also the first thing to be asked in the hereafter....
